Zed Goes Up the Mountain is the first in my planned series of stories about adventure, discovery, and appreciation for life, as our young hero Zed travels to different places, learns about different cultures and activities, and always makes friends along the way. Children aged three to six will enjoy the suspense, mystery and discovery in each of Zed’s adventures. I am looking for a publisher for Zed and would welcome the opportunity to show you more!

Copies of Zed have been sold at Rizzoli Bookshop at Somerset House in London (photos below). It was also chosen by judges from the House of Illustration to be sold at their 2016 Christmas Fair in London. Two illustrations from the book were also accepted by judges for inclusion in the International Illustration Research 2016 Symposium in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In March 2018 I was honoured to be a guest author/illustrator for World Book Week at two schools in Twickenham and Hounslow, England (photos below). I read Zed to auditorium audiences of up to 200 children, conducted pupil Q&A sessions and a book signing and taught drawing workshops for Reception through Year Three. I was absolutely delighted to be told that Zed had also been used by one class as part of their literacy studies! It is a great privilege to see children’s drawings and interpretations of characters and stories you created.

If you would like to learn more about Zed please feel free to contact me at  jmackeylebleu@icloud.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
