Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me…
As you can see, my style is simple and colourful; I work primarily with pixels, pencils, markers and ink.
My artwork has been sold at Rizzoli Bookshop at Somerset House in London, and was chosen by judges with the House of Illustration for inclusion in their London Christmas Fair. In 2017 I had the privilege of participating in The London Art Show at The Coningsby Gallery in Fitzrovia. I am very happy to report that all of my prints sold on behalf of the Stroke Association; I was very honoured to have been part of this fundraising event.
In March 2019 I was again delighted to be a guest writer/illustrator for World Book Week at an infant and middle school in Greater London. I read my book Zed Goes Up the Mountain to auditorium audiences of 380, conducted pupil Q&A sessions and a book signing and taught drawing workshops for Reception through Year Three. I had this same privilege in 2018 when I served as a guest writer/illustrator at two primary schools in Greater London.
It was another great honour for me to be included on the Shortlist for the Association of Illustrators’ World Illustration Awards 2016 (sponsored by the Directory of Illustration) in the category of ‘Self-Initiated Work’ for my series ‘Vinyl to Cloud’.
I’ve also had the privilege of being selected by the organising committee of the 2016 International Illustration Research Symposium to have two illustrations from picture book Zed Goes Up the Mountain included in their art exhibition at the Edinburgh College of Art.
Recent commissions include a book cover illustration, business logos and illustrations for business websites. I write and illustrate my own children’s picture books, and provide illustrations for book jackets, editorial support, advertising and packaging. My artwork is currently in more than 50 private collections, purchased through art markets and events.
I am dedicated to helping charities, non-profits and organisations in the arts. Through the sale of my artwork I have raised £2,500 for worthy causes, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Glasgow and The Stroke Association, London. In April 2019 I had the privilege of being invited to illustrate the cover of the St. Margarets (London Borough of Richmond upon Thames) community Summer Fair 2019 programme and directory; my illustration will be advertised on posters throughout the borough and printed on 6,000 programmes. The Fair and the advertisements sold in the programme raise money for local schools and charities.
My education includes a Master of Arts in Communication Design/Illustration, which I earned from Kingston University’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (now Kingston School of Art) in Kingston upon Thames, England.
I look forward to working with you!
